The goal

NTN distributes products in the field of bearings, linear motion technology and automotive spare parts worldwide. These include, for example, ball bearings, linear axis and chassis.

The configurators are mainly used as a sales tool to

a) quickly and easily find a suitable alternative to a competitor's product

b) to find the right NTN product quickly and easily, even without a type code.

The solution

The setup and functions of the two configurators are very similar, but customised to the respective requirements of the products.

To start, the user can enter the type code of a linear guide or a ball screw from the competition and find the right NTN alternative. The configuration can also be started by selecting parameters. For example, linear guides can be configured by selecting the size, coating and fastening and ball screws can be configured by selecting the lead, nut type and seal.

The aim is to find the right NTN product in just a few clicks. The configurator supports mass configuration by uploading Excel lists to the configurator.

During configuration, the linear guide or ball screw is displayed in 3D including dimensions. Configurations can be requested directly via the configurator, including delivery time, price and further information as a PDF document.

Competitor products can be found quickly and easily by selecting parameters such as brand, nominal diameter, pitch or type code. You will receive a detailed comparison of competitor and NTN products with all the differences.
