The goal
The ENYGUIDE from Hensel was developed back in 2008 for the configuration of ENYSTAR enclosures. It is a 3D tool for the configuration of electrical distribution systems.
The aim was to update the software to a modern and future-orientated web framework in order to create a user-friendly and intuitive solution for the safe planning of Hensel distribution systems.
To do this, the configurator must be able to mechanically construct the distributions and perform validations, e.g. of electrotechnical values and power loss analyses. This is why ENYGUIDE 3.0 has not only been fundamentally redesigned, but also replaced by completely new software.
All old projects, users and other important information have been preserved. Hensel can maintain the logical rules and data of the configurator itself – a huge advantage for Hensel in order to remain flexible and independent.
The solution
The configurator for distribution systems is used as an online tool for end customers as well as electrical installers, wholesalers and electrical planners. The focus is on ease of use, which should be intuitive for all user groups.
After selecting the product group in the first step, the user is guided through various options for customising their distribution system and adding accessories. The requirements and possible accessories vary depending on the distribution system – the user is only shown what is technically feasible. These related factors and the complex background calculations for power loss and electronic values are taken into account by the configurator in real time.</p
Information texts, product images and the 3D visualisation help the user to easily find their way around and prevent uncertainties. The drag & drop configuration option is a convenient tool to help users reach their goal quickly.
The 3D configurator takes into account all the required parts of the distribution systems, automatically places the required accessories (e.g. flanges) and checks which walls of the distribution system need to be open or closed. As soon as the distribution system has been configured, it can be ordered via ELBRIDGE in the web shops of various wholesalers.
